Article IX · Standing obligations
Who owes what
Four bylaws impose an obligation that falls due every season. They are listed here in the order they were ratified. An obligation is discharged when it is performed, and it recurs the following season regardless.
| Bylaw | Owed by | Owed to | The obligation | Falls due | Discharged |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| League Gathering2012 | champion | the league | Host or organise a league gathering during the following season. | Every season | Not on record |
| Land of the Free2014 | consolation bracket | the league | Sing the national anthem before the league, before the draft may commence. | Every season | Not on record |
| Glamour Shot2015 | champion | last place | Provide a custom-made T-shirt for the league loser, to be worn at all league events. | Every season | Not on record |
| Literary Minds2018 | runner-up | the league | Write an essay on why they lost and why the winning team was better, and recite it before the league before the draft begins. | Every season | Not on record |
On discharge
The record does not yet show whether any season’s obligations were performed. Every obligation below is therefore marked not on record rather than outstanding — the office declines to accuse anyone on the strength of a missing file.
Performance is a matter for the Summit log, which is empty, and for the Hall of Records, which is not yet built.
Authority
Obligations arise under bylaws ratified by the league at the Summit pursuant toart. I §9Copied and art. IXCopied. Draft-day obligations are additionally governed by art. III §8Copied, which requires strict adherence.
